Nomad Privacy Policy

What stays on your device

Your SSH private keys, passwords, and VNC credentials are stored only in the iOS Keychain on your device. They are never uploaded to our servers and never leave the device except as part of the encrypted SSH/VNC connection to the host you configured.

What we collect if you sign in

Signing in with Apple, Google, or GitHub is optional. When you do, we store your email address and display name to identify your account, plus data you choose to sync: a metadata backup of your hosts/agents/teams (which contains no passwords or keys) and your Saved Messages. This data is used solely to provide the sync feature.

Feedback

If you submit feedback, we receive the description, optional attachments, and basic device information (model, OS version, app version) you include.

Anonymous analytics and diagnostics

Nomad sends a random per-install identifier, app-open and foreground events, device model, OS version, app version, and a country/region code from the device's regional setting (with an approximate request-country fallback) to our own telemetry service. We use this data only for aggregate usage counts, country-level audience analytics, and product reliability. Apple MetricKit crash, hang, and CPU-exception diagnostics are also sent so we can identify and fix failures. This telemetry is not joined to your Nomad account and never includes SSH credentials, host addresses, terminal commands, chat messages, or file contents.

No tracking

Nomad has no ads and no third-party analytics. We do not track you and we do not sell or share your data with anyone. The random install identifier is used only inside Nomad and is not used to follow you across other companies' apps or websites.

Deleting your data

In the app: Profile → Delete Account permanently deletes your account, your synced backup, and your Saved Messages from our servers immediately.
